Caring for Your Art
The CanvasWall Way
At CanvasWall, every piece is crafted with care using premium-grade fine art paper and museum-quality canvas. To help your art look its best for years to come, here’s how to handle and protect it proper

When Your Art Arrives

ROLLED ART PRINTS
Your unframed prints arrive safely rolled in a protective tube.

  • Gently unroll the print on a clean, flat surface.
  • Always hold the print from the edges or back—avoid touching the printed side.
  • Allow the paper or canvas to naturally flatten.
  • If needed, place clean, heavy books (with tissue between the print and the book) at the corners for a few hours.

    FRAMED PRINTS
Our framed art is carefully packaged for transit.
  • Remove all packaging gently and slowly.
  • Wash your hands before touching the frame or use cotton gloves.
  • Avoid pressing directly on the artwork inside the frame while hanging or adjusting.

Everyday Art Care Tips

1. Avoid Touching the Surface

Even clean fingers can leave oils that damage the artwork. Always handle from the sides or back.

2. Choose the Right Spot

  • Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading over time (especially for unframed or unlaminated prints).
  • Avoid high-humidity areas like bathrooms to protect from warping or mold.
  • Keep away from heat sources like radiators, stoves, or air conditioners.

3. Keep It Dust-Free

Dust gently using a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Never use cleaning sprays or liquids on the print surface.

4. Hang with Care

Use proper wall hooks and measure twice before mounting. If your frame has glass or acrylic, avoid placing pressure on it while installing.
